ABOUT MERCYLAND
Mercyland International Schools is a private institution founded by Dr. (Mrs.) Anuoluwapo A. Bankole, a distinguished academician, astute researcher and an educationist par excellence.
Mercyland International Schools is located at Oba Alake Road, G.R.A, Ibara, Abeokuta, Ogun State. The School is established in 1994. The school started with a population of two pupils from kindergarten and has grown to become a conglomerate of schools from Creche to Senior Secondary School, all of international standard. The College section of the school started in 2004 with nineteen students and six teachers.
The
first principal of the school was Mr. Pius K. Nanewotor who worked in the
school for a period of two and half years. He was succeeded by the current
principal of the school, Pastor Eze Moses Ifeanyichukwu on 12th
August, 2005. Presently, the school has grown to a population of five hundred
and ninety – four (594) students and sixty – two (62) teachers.
Mercyland
International Schools, Abeokuta presented its first set of candidates for
WASSCE / NECO SSCE in 2009 and the performance of the students was quite
impressive
The school has continued to record an improved impressive performance as the
years go- bye. Also, The outstanding performance of candidates from the school
in JAMB (UTME) year after year goes a long way in establishing the fact that
Mercyland International Schools,
Abeokuta has established itself as a force to reckon with in the education sector.

institutions both in and outside the country is a latent proof of well designed
academic programme and very high level of effective teaching and learning

From 2008 to 2015, Mercyland consistently won 1st position in the
yearly organized French Drama Competition for all secondary schools in Ogun
State.

In 2015, Mercyland won 2nd position during National French Drama Competition
for all secondary schools in Nigeria - a competition organized by National French
Teachers Association in conjunction with French Embassy in Nigeria.

The school won the 2011 MCODER Award for Theatre Excellence in Secondary
Schools.

In 2004 Mercyland International College received Vocational Excellence
Award from Rotary Club of Abeokuta District 9110 Nigeria.

the nation, Mercyland made the Merit List comprising of ten schools.

the three-stage competition

Debate Competition for secondary schools in Abeokuta organized by ICAN Abeokuta
District. It
was held on Saturday 26" November, 2022. We won the highly
coveted 1st Position.

organized by Association of Resident Doctors Neuropsychiatric Hospital Aro,
Abeokuta.
Our
Male Relay team won Silver Medal in a relay race competition for secondary
school students held in M.K.O. Abiola Stadium, Kuto on Thursday 8th December,
2022.

For the year 2023 Competitions:
We
won 1st Position in a quiz competition organized by National Commission for
Museums and Monuments, Abeokuta for all secondary schools in Abeokuta.
Also
in the 2023 Children's Day Talent Hunt organized by National Gallery of Art,
Abeokuta for all secondary schools in the state, we came home with the
following prizes:
