Olootu A.G.O Bankole

Olootu Abel Ogooluwa Bankole was born on 1st November, 1948 at Ibogun Akiode village. A frontline industrialist in Ogun state, Olootu
A.G.O. Bankole attended Anglican Primary School [bogun Odejimi and later UNA Primary school Adenrele If before proceeding to Ibogun Secondary Modern School Egbeda in 1961 as a pioneering student. He later attended Yaba Technical College and the prestigious University of Lagos where he obtained a Bse (Hons) degree in Business Administration through self-sponsorship.
Ogooluwa Bankole, a widely travelled man was privileged to have both technical and academic education at the Imperial Chemical Industries, Slough in England (Paints Technology). He attended Polytechnic of North London now London Metropolitan University, Holloway, Ciba Geizy laboratory Basel Switzerland where he bagged Diploma in Polymer and Adhesive and also Diploma in Pigment and Colours.
A successful businessman, he established Premier Paints PLC, the first indigenous paints company to be quoted on the Nigeria Stock Exchange.
His passion for education made him to establish
Mercyland International Schools with his wife, Dr (Mrs)
Anuoluwapo Bankole in 1994.
Olootu belongs to a number of societies and professional organizations and has received several awards.
Patron of many social clubs and societies, Olootu A.G.O. Bankole is the Agunloye of Gbagura, Abeokuta, Asiwaju Babalaje of Egbaland, Olootu Owu, Abeokuta, Babalaje of lfo and Balogun of lbogun land.
He is happily married with Children.
Dr. (Mrs) Anuoluwapo Ayodele Bankole,
(Ph.D.) is a distinguished academician, astute researcher and educationist par excellence. She was educated at Baptist Girls College, Abeokuta and theFederal College of Education, Abeokuta, where she trained as a teacher. Sheattended the Ogun State University, Ago Iwoye now Olabisi Onabanjo University where she graduated with second class upper division in Business Education. She
did her post graduate studies at the University of Lagos where she bagged MSc
and Ph.D. in Education.
A widely travelled woman, Dr.(Mrs)Bankole
taught for a number of years at the Navy Secondary School, Abeokuta as a
pioneer teacher before establishing Mercyland International Schools with her
husband.
She was once a visiting lecturer at
the Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijebu Ode. Anuoluwapo Bankole is the
immediate Past Chairman of Egba Economic Summit and a recipient of several
awards among which are:

National Council of Women Society, Nigeria.

Commonwealth Youth Organization
·
Christian Council of Nigeria.
She is also a fellow of the African
Church College of Education, Nigeria. Chief
(Mrs)Bankole,Proprietress of Mercyland International Schools is a high Chief of
Egbaland.
